Four Corner Hat
(As First seen in Knitter's Magazine, Winter 2000). I call this hat "four corners" because of the way the four corners meet at the top of the crown. But, of course, there are many more corners than four - they seem to pop up at you from everywhere as you knit. You can join the four crown sections as you go for a minimum of sewing or sew the four sections together before adding the brim. Using this modular construction results in a traditional Nordic hat with a twist or a fun slip sticth brim hat.
